In folk magic they have been for various purposes, including for putting out fires, removing jinxes, healing fevers, and to protect cattle from witchcraft. The oldest representation of a SATOR Square was found in the ruins of Pompeii. Squares such as this were often carved into the doors and outer walls of homes.

This SATOR square is engraved in heavy, 18 gauge brushed brass, hand-enameled and backed in burgundy velvet. Place it on your altar or in your home to ward and protect. 3.25″ diameter.
