Hosted by astrologer Isavella Vassilakis, Church of Myth will be held on Sunday, September 22 at Star + Splendor at 96 Congress Street, Troy, NY, from 4 – 5:30 pm.
There will be a myth-based sermon followed by a corresponding ritual.
Each month will be different; each mythic tale chosen to reflect the stars, as well as our collective hearts & minds.
All are welcome.
Coffee hour will follow Church. Come meet & mingle! We’re keeping it just a little traditional over here 😉
This month we will discuss the timeless myth of Eros & Psyche — a myth that encapsulates the transformative nature of love. In Greek mythology, Eros, the god of love & desire, fell deeply in love with Psyche, a mortal of extraordinary beauty. Theirs was no standard love story, but a journey filled with impossible trials meant to test the strength of their love. This myth was chosen to coincide with the liminal last day of Venus’ transit through Libra before she ingresses into Scorpio, a vivid annual shift in the collective Venusian energy of love & relationships, as well as beauty, balance & harmony.
